Research projects
Every year Rannís takes part in studies on issues relating to science, technology and innovation. In many cases these studies are Nordic or European activities. The list below does not represent all the studies that Rannís is currently taking part in but gives an idea of what is currently underway. The table below covers projects that have been completed.

The main object of FOTON is to study how foreign takeovers of firms in the Nordic countries affect local innovation capabilities, and how this issue is approaced by policy makers. By doing so, the project will provide Nordic policy makers with a better knowledge base for formulating policies in this field. |

The main objective of DOMUS was to study the role of large domestic multinationals in the national innovation system. It also studied the effects that the international activities of these companies have on their function as competence and innovation providers in the national innovation system. The study is also to take inter-Nordic relations into consideration, and use the similarities and dissimilarities of the national innovation systems in this area for comparisons. |
