Stjórn Rannsóknasjóðs hefur lokið við úthlutun til nýrra rannsóknaverkefna fyrir árið 2015. Hér á eftir fer yfirlit yfir skiptingu fjár á milli styrktegunda. Frekari greining verður birt á heimasíðu Rannís innan skamms.
Alls bárust 226 gildar umsóknir í Rannsóknasjóð að þessu sinni og voru 67 þeirra styrktar eða 29,6% umsókna. Sótt var um 2.353.628 þús. kr. en 724.264 þús. kr. veittar eða 30,8% umbeðinnar upphæðar. Meðalupphæð umsókna var 10.414 þús. kr. en meðalupphæð styrkja er 10.810 þús.kr.
Öndvegisstyrkir
Alls bárust 16 umsóknir um öndvegisstyrki og voru 5 styrktar eða 31,3% umsókna. Sótt var um 541.524 þús. kr. en 164.259 þús. kr.voru veittar eða 30,3% af umbeðinni upphæð. Hlutfall öndvegisstyrkja af úthlutun Rannsóknasjóðs árið 2015 er 22,7% af úthlutaðri upphæð.
Rannsóknastöðustyrkir
Alls bárust 35 umsóknir um rannsóknastöðustyrki og voru 10 þeirra styrktar eða 28,6% umsókna. Sótt var um 256.614 þús. kr. en 76.834 þús. kr. voru veittar eða 29,9% af umbeðinni upphæð. Hlutfall rannsóknastöðustyrkja af úthlutun Rannsóknasjóðs árið 2015 er 10,6% af úthlutaðri upphæð.
