11.4.2016 : Áhættu- og verndandi þættir fyrir frávikshegðun unglinga - verkefni lokið

This project formed the basis for the preliminary work that led to a funded application for a Consolidator Grant to the European Research Council, application titled “A Multilevel Analysis on the Effects of Stress on Biology, Emotions, and Behavior Throughout Childhood (ERC-CoG-2014 – 647860, LIFECOURSE)”.

7.4.2016 : Efnasmíðar á metoxyl setnum eterlípíðum og n-3 PUFA / Syntheses of methoxylated ether lipids and n-3 PUFA - verkefni lokið

The strategy that was followed is based on copper promoted sequential condensations of terminal acetylenes with propargyl halides and attaching a diyne head group to an appropriate mono-, di-, tri- or tetrayne tail part, depending on the target molecule, regardless of whether synthesizing the polyunsaturated MELs or n-3 PUFAs.

6.4.2016 : Spunahreyfifræði og segulsviðsskynjarar / Spin dynamics and magnetic sensors - verkefni lokið

The project involved a study of various micron-scale magnetic field sensors. These included magnetic tunnel junction sensors, perpendicular magnetization anomalous Hall effect sensors (FePt), and planar Hall effect sensors (NiFe, “Permalloy”).

5.4.2016 : Sameindalýsing á vatni / Molecular Modelling of Water - verkefni lokið

In this project a transferable interaction potential for water molecules has been developed. The potential is based on a single-center multipole expansion (SCME) of the electrostatic interactions, and although many interaction potentials for water have previously been developed, the SCME model is unique in that the multipole expansion is carried out all the way up to the hexadecapole moment.

4.4.2016 : Agnahreyfingar í iðustreymi drifið með varmaburði

The main findings include a new and improved Logarithmic Law of the Wall model for the velocity profile in convective channel flow and phenomenological models for the evolution of the Nusselt number as a function of Reynolds number and Rayleigh number in a mixed convective flow.
